I whipped up a new masthead for the BonnevilleAmerica.com forums. Hopefully they can use it. People have been complaining for years about the backwards Triumph tank badge in the current masthead.

Update: It may be a while before we can get the site owner to upload the masthead (if he accepts it at all), so impatiently I used the Greasemonkey and Stylist plug-ins for firefox to dynamically replace the image in the header. If there were proper CSS “hooks” in the code I wouldn’t have needed javascript to pull it off. I only used custom CSS to remove a border around the new image. Here’s a screenshot:
Californication

I added a new Page on this site called Californication, with the major route mapped out for my upcoming California trip in September. The Google folks just made it super easy to embed maps in web pages, otherwise I would’ve just relied on the Travel page in my TBA Wiki, which I’ve been using to track a variety of different potential routes. The new Californication Page only contains the final route on which I’m 99% certain.

Colorado School Bans Tag on Its Playground
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - An elementary school has banned tag on its playground after some children complained they were harassed or chased against their will.
“It causes a lot of conflict on the playground,” said Cindy Fesgen, assistant principal of the Discovery Canyon Campus school.
Running games are still allowed as long as students don’t chase each other, she said.
Fesgen said two parents complained to her about the ban but most parents and children didn’t object.
In 2005, two elementary schools in the nearby Falcon School District did away with tag and similar games in favor of alternatives with less physical contact. School officials said the move encouraged more students to play games and helped reduce playground squabbles.
There Should Be A Law

Tom Leykis and Adam Carolla should not be allowed to go on vacation during the same week. It’s not right. It’s not fair. I can only take so much of Dave Ramsey and Leo Laporte. I scoured the iTunes store last night and right now I’m listening to a podcast about Halo 3 from Bungie, the company who developed the franchise.
