SUE!!! SUE LIKE THE WIND!!!

I think our society has become way too litigious in general, but sometimes a lawsuit is warranted. I think this is one such case (emphasis mine): “Claudia Mejia gave birth eight and a half months ago at Orlando Regional South Seminole. She was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando where her arms and legs were amputated. She was told she had streptococcus, a flesh eating bacteria, and toxic shock syndrome, but no further explanation was given. The hospital, in a letter, wrote that if she wanted to find out exactly what happened, she would have to sue them.” Is it just me or does that sound fishy? Seems that someone would know whether or not they have a flesh eating bacteria ON ALL FOUR LIMBS. Somebody screwed up big time.

Better late than never

Okay, all my readers seem to have dried up. Well it’s Tuesday and I’m forging ahead…

Bad news. Week 2: 349.4, a gain of .6 pounds. My discipline seems to go out the window on weekends. Gonna have to work on that.

The Jedi are the Problem

I love alternate interpretations of beloved fictional universes:

“6. The prophecy was that Anakin (Darth) will restore order and balance to the force. How true this turns out to be. But none of the Jedi can begin to understand what this means. Yes, you have to get rid of the bad guys. But you also have to get rid of the Jedi. The Jedi are, after all, the primary supply source and training ground for the bad guys. Anakin/Darth manages to get rid of both, so he really is the hero of the story. “

I may be on to something

Make your diet public

Tell people you’re on a diet. There’s no reason to be ashamed to be on a diet. I found that trying to keep my diet a secret was harder than just telling people. In fact, telling your coworkers, girlfriend, family, etc. will increase your accountability.”

If this guy can lose 50 pounds in 3 months I can lose the same amount in a year.
