Ah, a chance to reminisce about old VWs on AskMefi. Funny I never used to think about how horribly unsafe old bugs are in a crash. I did crash my old Ghia but it had 3pt seat belts and I was fine.

St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation Gala a Success

Via the Helena Independent Record: “The St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation annual Gala fund-raiser raised a record $111,000, the hospital said this week. [...] The hospital’s previous record was $96,000 in 2005.”

Garden Guy Homophobia Applauded By Area Newspaper

Ordinarily I wouldn’t have given a damn, but I had to comment on this silly Garden Guy Homophobia situation. I think I successfully avoided how I really feel about the homosexual angle, but I wasn’t as successful hiding how I feel about the religious business owners: “They should now refuse to do business with fornicators, non-believers, members of the cults that worship different little old men (or women) in the sky than they do, women who have had abortions, etc.”
But I will say this: I believe politics and religion have no place in most business affairs. ESPECIALLY FRIGGIN’ LANDSCAPING (and certainly not web design ::wink-wink::). Sheesh.
