What’s it like to live in Bozeman, Montana? Here I go again. Maybe The Powers That Be on Metafilter will deem my comment worthy enough not to delete it this time.

I’ve posted a link to the Egg & Muffin Toaster before, but I actually got one for xmas (Thanks Mom!). It is very cool and works exactly as advertised. I had my first eggamoobymuffin this morning with a wheat muffin and turkey sausage and no butter. Take that, McDonald’s!

I think the biggest issue is meat size (isn’t it always?). I purchased some pre-cooked turkey sausage patties and threw one in the machine this morning. When the meat is significantly smaller than the diameter of the muffin and/or egg, it becomes a bit of a handful to eat, because everything starts sliding around. I doubt I’d have this problem with a small slice of canadian bacon because it’s much thinner. However, I think the canadian bacon I bought is of sufficient diameter to match the egg and the muffin.

Also, I was wondering what’s worse: eating a McDonald’s or Burger King breakfast sandwich every once-in-a-while or eating a healthier breakfast sandwich daily? I don’t really plan on having one of these every morning, but I will be eating many more than I would from a fast food joint (I think I’ve been averaging one egg mcmuffin every two weeks or so - last year, 2004, I was probably having at least a couple a week).

Tomorrow: Canadian bacon! Might even throw a little Mrs. Dash in the egg. Running with scissors!
