Okay, note to self: don’t try a major website migration, even if it’s only moving a website to a different directory, while you’re HALF ASLEEP.

Everything is moved, but not everything is fixed. For now I have a redirect from www.johnbedard.com to the /oldsite directory (which you know if you’re reading this). Hopefully I’ll be ready to launch the Postnuke site by this weekend.

Announcement: This site is going to be moved soon, probably this weekend, to a subdirectory, probably http://www.johnbedard.com/oldsite. I will not be updating it there anymore. I am going to switch over to Postnuke cold turkey and start playing with it live, realtime. All the old stuff will be available via the directory above. More to follow.

I’m not sure if this is cool or crazy or both, but…

I’m not sure if this is cool or crazy or both, but Amazon.com sent me a reminder, one month before my birthday, that I should not only update my wish list, but I should remind all my friends and family that my birthday is coming up (and that, naturally, they should buy me stuff off Amazon.com). Frankly I can’t imagine “marketing” myself to solicit birthday presents. That’s pretty silly. And no, posting it here is not the same thing, since none of my family visit here and only a couple of my friends do and I don’t expect anything from them (nor they, I, I think…).

“”The world is a minefield for people with electrical sensitivity,” said Firstenberg, the author of Microwaving Our Planet, a book that blames radio frequencies for everything from irritability to cancer.” Irritability? Hey, maybe that’s why I’m such a friggin grouch all the time…my CELL PHONE!

I have a dream. It’s a small dream. I want to see “Running Man,” for real, on TV before I die. With this latest crop of “reality/game shows,” The Chair and The Chamber, we are another step closer to realizing my dream. It started with Survivor and was helped along by Fear Factor and that manhunter-type show (can’t remember the name, never watched it). And with the next set of contestants on Survivor starting out with no food, we may get yet another step closer to my dream. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, network TV is pushing back the boundaries every season so soon we will see people hunting each other to the death. Scoff now, but you wait and see…
