One of my favorite fictional characters finally has a quality logo: Satan’s Logo. The Creator (heh) describes the design parameters thusly:
Leeeeeeeeeevin’ on a Scooter

Well, the bike seems to be running fine, and more importantly stopping fine, so I’ll be riding down to Prescott, AZ(1 , 2), by way of Las Vegas (map) next Monday for the Southwest Triumph Fest. It’s about 2,260 miles round trip. This time it’s all about the destination(s) not the ride, so I’m just going to jet down the interstate most of the way there and back. I’m saving a few hundred miles by not going back through Vegas on the way home; it’s as much a straight shot as I can make it.
I’ll spend a day in Vegas with a few family members, have lunch with a buddy and try and catch Speed Racer at the IMAX. Thursday a few of us will meet in Vegas and head for Prescott. On Saturday the 17th our little flock of Triumph cruisers will head for the Grand Canyon (map), which I’ve never seen.
Bike Update

The bike is officially back on the road for Riding Season ‘08.
Last weekend I put the front end back together after swapping my right lower fork leg and front master brake cylinder for the same parts off a Speedmaster (which comes equipped with dual front disc brakes). My dual disc spoked front wheel isn’t ready to go yet, so I’m still running my original stock single disc wheel. That isn’t all bad because I still have the floating rotor and metallic brake pads that I installed last Fall. The Speedmaster brake cylinder seems to give a little extra boost to my stopping ability.
As part of the front end rebuild I had the lower fork legs powder-coated semi-gloss black. I also had the upper fork shrouds (metal tubes between the two steering yokes or “triple trees”) powder-coated semi-gloss black. The yokes are still silver. I replaced the lower shrouds (below the lower yoke) with black rubber fork “gators.” The front end looks dead sexy now.
This evening I rode over to Sherri’s house for dinner and video games with The Boy. On the way home at 11pm it was 37 degrees. However, my other recent acquisition is a Gerbing heated jacket liner. And it definitely works well. I was very comfortable on the ride home.

This Dark Knight Poster is wicked cool…
I don’t own any movie posters but I’m tempted to buy this one if available.
Bloody Brilliant

Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life? Friends, meet Jon Arbuckle. Let’s laugh and learn with him on a journey deep into the tortured mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness in a quiet American suburb.
Sounds like various periods in my life…
UPDATE: Previously and similarly…
